I am a seasoned Corporate AV Video Technician based in New York City, specializing in setting up Video Display Systems. I studied in Video Production, Visual and Media Arts, and Entertainment Technology for Theater, which have collectively prepared me for various roles within the AV industry. While my initial training was focused on camera work for Film, TV, and Journalism, my true passion lies in premium display systems, with a particular affinity for LED Walls and signal flow.

I began my career in 2010 as a stagehand and projectionist for the Celebrate Brooklyn Music Festival in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. This experience paved the way for my entry into the corporate AV sector, until I apprenticed with Local 4 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. There, I refined my skills working in Theater, transitioning from legacy equipment to modern AV technology.

Production Rental companies, further expanded my expertise, particularly in rack building and warehouse assistance. Since 2014, I have increasingly focused on LED Walls, a specialization that has become my favorite type of work since formal training in 2019. My freelance career has allowed me to collaborate with numerous companies, crews, and venues, where I have developed a reputation for efficiency, craftsmanship, and leadership.

What I do

  • Let's face it, Audiovisual means Audio comes first and not every visual involves Video! Your job relies on well-rounded skills that support each department. This role is for supporting a job site with fundamental installations.

  • Projectors are cost effective solutions to put a big screen almost anywhere. Premium projectors can support image blending with multiple other units to make larger images. Projector Mapping allows the ability to put a motion graphic affect on abstract surfaces like architecture, sculptures, or furniture.

  • Premium Big Screens that can take many shapes. I work with Rental LED Walls that operate from either NovaStar, Brompton, or Megapixel processors. The workflow is like building a giant TV screen out of giant, difficult lego bricks.

  • Knowing how to build a system also comes with knowing how to lead a crew. I work with what I got and make things happen. In this role I am responsible for a whole video system based on the needs of a show.

  • Prepping a big job? Maybe loading up a server rack with broadcast systems? Kitting AV gear requires an appreciation for convenience and efficiency. It's all about planning ahead and having a back up plan!
